I have an itch to knit a sweater. I also have an itch to knit a baby blanket. Honestly, I don't like spending $100+ on yarn. I love yarn, but it's so expensive. Also, I've been a little stressed out about waste and climate change. The simple solution to both of these problems is to upcycle old sweaters. For $17.04 at Goodwill, I now have 4 sweaters to dismantle, which will give me enough yarn for the sweater, the baby blanket, and something else rather large, maybe a second baby blanket! Looking forward to next weekend when I'll have time to turn them back into yarn.
